As experienced Funeral Celebrants, Funeral Planners and Educators, we understand that creating meaningful ceremonies requires more than just good intentions. It demands mastery of presentation skills, an ability to craft compelling narratives, and the confidence to engage with your audience effectively. The Storyteller's Summit was created to address these needs by combining foundational public speaking principles with advanced techniques for crafting and delivering impactful ceremonies.
Meet Your Hosts
Yasemin Trollope (Yaz) is a former media and marketing professional turned Funeral Director and Celebrant. As the owner of Rite of Passage Funerals and co-creator of The Funeral Fix, she is deeply committed to elevating the standard of funeral ceremonies in Australia (and around the world). With a background in print media and having appeared on your TV (and YouTube) screens back in the day, Yaz understands the importance of storytelling in all its forms. From writing to delivering, Yaz’s authentic, conscious and aligned approach to ceremony lights the path back to healing.
Oliver Thomson (Oli) is a passionate and deeply connected Celebrant in both marriage and farewells, a Funeral Planner, Actor & classically trained vocalist. His dedication to storytelling in all its forms is crafted from a thorough understanding of voice, performance and connection with your audience.
Special Guest - Adam Seeney. We’re bringing in the big guns with an expert at improv and well-loved celebrant to ensure you have the skills to go off-script, handle challenging situations or simply connect in a deeper way - without being so reliant on your notes!
